Lee J. Keller's Influences: Lee's favorite writer in terms of number of novels eagerly read, and as a shining example of excellent characterization in novels is, Dean Koontz. Lee is proud to say he is unabashedly among the many writers who regularly visit the School of Koontz. His favorite SF writers and influences are (alphabetically listed by surname) Kevin J. Anderson (with a special shout out due to Kevin's personal support), Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Frank Herbert, Robert. J. Sawyer, and David Simmons. In other genres he very much appreciates the writing of Tom Clancy and Ken Follett. He says there are too many favorites to list further. Lee admires the scientific and societal contributions of Jennifer Doudna, Dean Kamen, Barbara McClintock, George Church, and J. Craig Venter. He also admires the work and societal contributions of Elon Musk, Donna Haraway, Peter Diamandis, and Ray Kurzweil. Also the pioneering work of Jane Goodall, Cynthia Breazeal, and Rodney Brooks. In the neurosciences and psych he appreciates the work and contributions of Marsha Linehan, Candace Pert, and Irvin Yalom. He also values the mentorship and grad school instruction of Lonnie Rowell, Christine Downing, and Maurice Friedman. Lee has worked as an English teacher, a business consultant, freelance writer, editor, proofreader, and professional counselor. His business clients have included big pharma, physicians, internet moguls, eCommerce companies, and many corporate clients in the healthcare and technology fields.
